Proven track record of optimizing organizational performance through meticulous financial management, robust risk mitigation, and the integration of ESG principles.. With expertise spanning various sectors including Financial Services, Insurance, Shipping Industry, Retail, Telecom, City Management, Manufacturing, Real Estate, and NGO, Dr. Deepa leads the practice of ESG, GRC, Enterprise Risk Management and contributes to CFO Advisory services related mandates. She is recognized as a speaker and trainer on topics such as ESG, Social Risk, GRC, and Women Entrepreneurship, and was honored with the MENA CFO award for women in 2017.

    Experience & Activities

    As the Project Director, she led and contributed significantly towards redefining the business strategy of the second largest insurance company in Qatar. The assignment also included restructuring the organization chart, systems and resource planning and cashflow optimization and debt restructuring strategies.

    She has led and contributed towards financial transformation projects for various entities which includes construction, medical and financial services company

    She developed the liquidity management and forecasting tool for an investment management and brokerage firm which providing transparency to the management on their free cashflow deficits along with identifying and recommending strategies on meeting such deficiencies.

    Her other successful deliverables include developing the Corporate Governance Framework and Policies for various Financial service sector entities.

    She contributed significantly towards the development sector specific GRC framework for Small Medium Enterprises along with conducting GRC maturity assessment for various entities.

    Developed and implemented Enterprise Risk Management Framework for a retail, telecom and financial service company.

    In the ESG service line, she has led and delivered on sustainability reporting, ESG risk, ESG strategy development and KPI setting for entities in the sector of bank, logistics, shipping, retail and pharmaceutical.

    Has led and executed various due diligence assignments that includes due diligence on global NGO’s and insurance company acquisitions.
